“The greatness of a society and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals.”      – Mahatma Gandhi

This quote from Mahatma Gandhi resonated with Gary Blair when he first came across it many years ago. This is not surprising if you know Gary who is President of i24 Call Management Solutions in Montreal. He’s a lifelong vocal advocate for justice, health, art and animal stewardship.

In 2002 he cofounded the Art for Healing Foundation with his partner, Earl Pinchuk. The non-profit foundation’s mission is to bring the healing power of art to hospitals and wellness facilities.

Gary, through i24, supports a variety of community non-profit organizations. This week, he is a lead sponsor of the Montreal SPCA fundraising gala, Love Under the Stars.  i24 is sponsoring the animal fashion runway event. The runway show features models of all sexes, sizes, and species.

“The mission of the SPCA is an obvious fit. It speaks  to our (i24) core values of Integrity and community involvement.”

There are few organizations who are as dedicated to their mission that sets to:

  • protect animals against negligence, abuse, and exploitation;
  • represent their interests and ensure their well-being;
  • raise public awareness and help develop compassion for all living beings.

Businesses do not exist outside their community. The relationship between a company and its community is reciprocal.

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
