I love inspirational quotes. I see reflected in the wise words of great minds validation of who I am and motivation to be who I want to become.
For many years now, I have shared some of my favourite quotes and trivia in my newsletter – Gary’s Monthly Gems. Enjoy.
Welcome, September … the only month with the same number of letters in its name as the number of the month – nine letters, ninth month!
September marks the autumnal or Fall equinox and the end of summer.
Depending upon where you are on the planet, this means you will experience approximately 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night darkness.
Speaking of time, the shortest month in the UK was September 1752. It lost 11 days in the change from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar!
Here’s another interesting fact about timing. More babies are born on an average September day, than on any day in any other month.
Who knew January was such a fertile month? Must be the cold. 🙂
Here are a few September GEMS to help you set you autumnal clock.

And the thought to leave you with this month is:
With regards to sharing, I am a strong believer in R.O.G. – return on generosity.
I found through experience, that the more I give of my resources, knowledge and time, the more I receive – amplified.
Living in a capitalist system as we do, it’s a concept that may be difficult to wrap our heads around; but I find it to be the case, time and time again.
So, with that thought in mind, I’d like to leave you with the following quote:
“Let us remember that, as much has been given to us, much will be expected from us, and that the true homage comes from the hearts as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds.” – Theodore Roosevelt
